WELDER
We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team at the Wausau location. Welders work in a team environment where we build motors and generators to our customer specifications with Safety and Quality as top priorities. Join our growing team and become part of a great place to work!!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tack weld body frames and rings
- Weld body frame, rings, and feet.
- Stack rotor laminations onto arbors and weld lams
- Blueprint reading and following job specs
- Approve and reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
- Select output and check them using appropriate methods and measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.
- Inspect procedures of the entire productions cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to follow established procedures for safety, quality and general assembly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Higher degree from a technical school is a plus.
- Certified welder - MIG, TIG, wire feed, aluminum and steel, preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
- Basic computer literacy, preferred
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to understand the physical and mechanical properties of metal as affected by composition
- Mechanical working and heat treatments including metal cutting and grinding is desirable.
- Ability to coach and lead others with respect, dignity, strong communication skills written-verbal.
