A shipping and receiving clerk's job is to receive and prepare shipments, maintain inventory, and ensure the accuracy of orders:
- Receiving: Unload delivery trucks, check shipments against invoices, and store items.
- Preparing: Prepare items for shipment, package objects, and obtain rate quotes.
- Maintaining: Maintain inventory counts, quality control, and shipment schedules.
- Documenting: Record shipping information, prepare documents, and document damages.
- Safety: Ensure safety, organization, and housekeeping.
