KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist area specialist with development, review and revision, training and management of operating procedures and ensure proper storage of executed operating procedures to ensure compliance.
- Administer regional Basic Operator Training (BOT) and assist area specialist with operation’s qualification and re-qualification programs; manage and proctor training assessments for site/field personnel; and ensure proper Operation’s qualification training records are maintained.
- Assist with tactics related to DOT required OQ training, field training program development, and continuous improvement in this space.
- Assist with MPLX continuous improvement initiatives such as training efforts and standard implementation/review. Ensure timely rollout of training on new standards/programs and focus on the right level of learning and understanding of content as identified. Serve as a champion of change.
- Contribute to updates or additions to MPLX programs and systems. These systems include operations logbooks, procedure storage, simulator, operator rounds, and other systems as identified.
- Support the Operational Discipline practices. Maintain understanding of G&P Standards for assistance with interpretation or questions.
- Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) or Process Safety Management lite related activities such as management of change, process hazard analysis, and compliance audits.
- Serve as an Operations subject matter expert maximizing efficiency of the operation, providing and coaching on advanced troubleshooting, participating in job planning activities, and assisting in the coordination of process operations with maintenance, project, and shutdown activities where required.
- Assist in the development of G&P programs in accordance with MPLX G&P Guiding Principles and goals by demonstrating ownership and effectively communicating vision and strategies to ensure understanding.
- Travel to sites in the area of support requiring additional assistance for reasons such as: loss of Operations Specialist, new facility startup, major facility turnaround, audit of Operations Excellence Programs.
- Supporting operations fully, helping to foster understanding, while relaying feedback on critical systems, policies or programs. Always striving to make it easy to do the right thing, the right way, every time.

REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- 3 years minimum of relevant operational knowledge and/or experience with compressor stations, gas dehydration, crude and gas gathering, crude storage, pipeline systems, and pigging operations
- Experience with Piping & Instrument Diagrams, Cause & Effect Matrices, and other pertinent documentation
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Oil gathering knowledge
