Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our maintenance team at Marathon Petroleum. This role offers an exciting career opportunity for those passionate about vehicle maintenance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain trailers in compliance with all DOT requirements
- Perform daily preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles
- C coordinate outside repairs, annual tanker certifications, inspections, and documentation
- Order parts, materials, oils, lubricants, and shop supplies
- Routine maintenance activities such as oil changes, air filter changes, power steering service, suspension system service, PTO's, locking rear-ends, Roper pumps, brakes, wheel bearings, and hubs, electrical system service, and miscellaneous maintenance activities
- Perform all preventative maintenance schedules on assigned vehicles and equipment
Requirements:
- Prior experience in the petroleum industry is strongly desired
- OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Standard training and spill response duties
- Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat, Tanker, Double/Triple, and LCV endorsements
- Mechanic certification or completion of a 2-year program at an accredited technical school, vocational school, or community college with coursework in truck mechanics
- Professional mechanic or technician experience related to diesel engines and semi-trailers in oil and gas operations

Work Environment:
- This position is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing our crude transport fleet and is located in Cadiz, OH with occasional out-of-region development opportunities
- Up to 25% travel required
