POSITION SUMMARY :
The Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the supply logistics for our Butane Blending facilities to ensure cost effective sourcing and delivery of butane meeting the appropriate specifications. This role will also be responsible for facilitating blend opportunities with field personnel in collaboration cross-organizationally (Refining, MPL, Commercial, PQ, etc).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Identifies L&S wide optimization and blending opportunities.
- Develops forecast on material balances. Gathers and develops supply / demand balances.
- Collaborates with Trading to provide butane demand forecast, timely market opportunities, and blending margin to meet program demand and to capitalize on unique opportunities. Makes daily contact blending facilities, suppliers, and carriers to ensure each facility’s butane deliveries are coordinated to meet their unique needs.
- Manages butane inventory (internal storage, 3rd party suppliers, rail cars in transit / at transloading facilities).
- Collaborates with Commercial Light Product Schedulers to understand receipt schedules and rack demand, turning this input into blending windows.
- Participate in development of supply cost reduction projects and optimization efforts.
- Assist and covers for the Butane Supply Director / Manager as needed.
- Maintain technical proficiency in blending processes and equipment to assist the Butane Technical Support Analyst
