About the Role: We are seeking a skilled River Engineer to join our team at Marathon Petroleum. As a River Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical operation of boats and barges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain decking duties (barge work, making locks, and any task requested by the vessel Captain)
- Perform general boat maintenance
- Participate in the Marine Structured Safety Process (SSP) and in any environmental and safety initiatives
Requirements:
- Five (5) or more years of River Engineering experience
- Advanced mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card
