Part-Time Cycling Instructor Needed

Your Role :

• Plan and facilitate thrilling recreational cycling programs and activities for participants of all ages.
• Design fun routines that incorporate music, ensuring an engaging atmosphere.
• Maintain participants' safety by actively enforcing rules and monitoring activities, ready to respond to any emergencies.
• Provide tailored instruction to individuals and groups, adapting programs to meet diverse skill levels.
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are safely maintained and utilized.
• Boost community engagement and participation through outreach and marketing efforts.
• Keep accurate records and prepare reports regarding attendance, incidents, and other essential data.
• Encourage a positive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR / AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• If assigned as a Certified or Group Fitness Instructor, relevant national certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Previous formal fitness or teaching experience (6 months minimum) or equivalent education and experience.
• Deliver courteous and efficient public service; handle inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Skilled in developing fitness routines with music, tempo, cueing techniques, rhythm, and choreography.
• Able to supervise multiple activities effectively.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships.
• Basic proficiency in computer programs.
• Capable of writing reports and completing necessary forms.
• Employ critical thinking and sound judgment when assessing situations.
