What are the responsibilities and job description for the AWS Cloud Architect (Hybrid) position at Marathon TS?
Position Overview:
Marathon TS is seeking a Cloud Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, be able to assess costs and make recommendations for optimization, assist in onboarding new AWS tenants, and bring a positive and enthusiastic approach to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage advanced knowledge of AWS services and architectures (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) to ensure efficient, scalable, and secure cloud environments.
- Estimate AWS service costs and make recommendations for optimizing infrastructure spend.
- Provide clear, actionable insights to teams on cost-effective AWS configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AWS best practices are followed and offer recommendations on architecture and design improvements
- Onboard new AWS tenants to help the team grow
- Stay updated with the latest AWS developments, best practices, and industry trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
- In-depth understanding of AWS services
- Proven ability to estimate AWS costs, identify areas for cost optimization, and provide actionable configuration recommendations.
- DoD Secret Clearance
- 2 AWS Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools in AWS.
