Cashier and Stocker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team at a bustling grocery store. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers by efficiently managing inventory and providing excellent service at the checkout. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards maintaining store standards.

Duties

• Operate the cash register, processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in stocking shelves with products, ensuring that displays are well-organized and fully stocked.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management tasks.
• Load and unload deliveries, ensuring that products are received in good condition and stored appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the checkout area and stockroom.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide assistance and resolve any issues.
• Support sales initiatives by promoting products, especially fresh produce, to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong skills in inventory management and inventory control practices.
• Ability to load and unload products safely and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• A proactive approach to maintaining store standards and providing exceptional service.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift items up to 40 pounds, and perform tasks that require movement throughout the store.
