Due to rapid growth, Marathon is conducting interviews for several temp-to-hire Welder and Fabricator positions with our steel manufacturing company located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Normal shift hours are from Monday through Thursday with OT if needed
- Monday through Thursday is the schedule, (40-50 hours per week see below):
- First shift is from 7 am to 5:30 pm, with overtime on Fridays as needed.
- Second shift: 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., with overtime on Sundays as necessary.
- Some departments offer varying schedule
Pay ranges from $18.50 per hour to $20.50 per hour

Responsibilities:
- MIG welding using a pulse voltage
- Custom fabrication will demand the ability to read blueprints
- JIG fabricators will do more tack welding, laying the groundwork for the finish welders to "pretty up”.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficient in blueprint reading and fabrication techniques
- Skilled in MIG welding and operating power tools
- Experience with hand tools and basic math for precise measurements
- Familiarity with construction sites and safety protocols
- Knowledge of rigging, mechanical systems, and pipe threading
- Ability to work with sheet metal and perform ductwork tasks
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and TIG welding techniques
