Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator to join our team. This role is critical to the success of our production process, involving hands-on manufacturing, facility upkeep, and quality assurance to ensure product standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Duties:
- Manufacture recycled plastic sheet materials.
- Shred material for production.
- Post-process sheets and products (sanding, surfacing, cutting, and finishing).
- Create sample patterns and conduct testing.
- Pack and ship products efficiently and accurately.
Facility Upkeep:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and functional workspace.
- Organize materials and workflow for efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, tools, and shredders.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to achieve project goals.
- Communicate effectively and provide support to ensure team success.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect and monitor products to maintain consistent quality.
- Address and resolve any production issues promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of production logs and testing outcomes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Training and Development:
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members as needed.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
- Includes two paid 10-minute breaks and 30-60 min unpaid lunch break.
What We’re Looking For:
- Basic mechanical skills and comfort with using hand tools.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
