MARC Media Group is a multimedia company that is composed of radio stations, a newspaper, digital services, and a billboard company. We seek to engage our community by providing reliable news, enjoyable music and timely information, while connecting the community with companies who want help to meet their advertising needs.
We are seeking "The Face" for our rock station, who will also be the host of our morning show. The host would represent the station at promotional engagements and events. Plus, manage and execute production for MARC Radio Gainesville group of stations. These additional abilities a plus for consideration; Graphic Design, Website Management, Content Management.
Morning Show Host Job Expectations:
- PRODUCE AND HOST MORNING SHOW 6AM TO 10AM WEEK-DAYS.
- Prepare "Show Prep" for each day, prepare a day in advance and share designated show features with the digital team.
- Maintain Show Features- Content, Copy, Updates.
- Create or evolve current features to become yours.
- Conduct "Listener Engagement" answer the phones, master the Short Cut recorder to air Listener Playbacks.
- Master Storq 2.0 for consistent timing of each show.
- Make the Show your show.
- Promote the "WHHZ" Brand" (Name, Song, Artist Information, Station events and Promotions) with every break.
- Develop Station Specific Features that create revenue opportunities, serve our community, promote the station as an outstanding Corporate Citizen.
- Ensures logged commercials, promotions, sweepers and any other programming element essential to the station's operations are aired.
- Daily social media engagement; website and digital content generation.
- Performs additional duties in small stations, such as production, assisting program director or music director, operating radio transmitter or writing advertising copy. Plays music as specified by the music director and music log.
- Availability for working with Sales Executives and Clients desiring Endorsements and advertising Show Features.
- Be available for Station Remotes and On-Location events.
- Voice and Produce commercials as directed.
- Attend Company meetings when required.
Production Director Job Expectations:
- Responsible for managing the process of idea creation, writing, voicing, and production of commercial radio advertisements for local and national clients.
- Use industry and Company best practices to create broadcast quality content.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Assist with the production of promotional messages for each of MARC Radios Properties.
- Communicate with the Traffic Department to download traffic logs from Marketron and merge to automation system.
- Dub produced spots into automation systems with attention to audio quality and EOM tones.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience preferred.
- Proven experience in hosting and producing radio shows.
- Proven experience in all aspects of the Production process.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type:
- Full time position with a 3 hour on air shift and one hour in show preparation with Production responsibilities following the Live on-air shift daily.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday.
- Weekends as needed.
Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 -Annually
- $20.00 per live read for client endorsement
- Additional hours will be paid on an as required basis for producing commercials, client meetings, Company meetings, assigned Features production, and rating bonus.
- On Location: Station Rewards Talent fees are provided; rates vary based on length of remote and other factors..
