Position Details
Provide safe and efficient operation of downstream production line equipment (conveyors, case packer, tape machine, and robot) to ensure maximum quality and productivity, with minimum downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the downstream production line equipment is performing safely and efficiently, lead efforts in grade changes and adjustments as required.
- Ensure company operational procedures are adhered to.
- Monitor quality of product, i.e., footage, diameter, perforation, etc. Communicate any quality issues in appropriate, timely manner.
- Instruct and lead team efforts to ensure required quality and productivity levels are met.
- Communicate with Lead any appropriate operational/quality issues from the equipment.
- Perform footage and dispensing tests as required to ensure quality standards are met.
- Preparation of parent rolls in a timely manner.
- Ensure communication with appropriate personnel concerning equipment operational deficiency, product quality changes, or safety issues.
- Ensure minimum product waste.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Company safety rules and regulations.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function of this position. Must be at work on time, and ready to begin working at the start of shift each day.
- Adhere to Company policy and procedure.
- Understand and perform the Preventative Maintenance Program. Identify and report any maintenance issues on machines and equipment.
- Follow the departments’ housekeeping and safety requirements and standards.
- Other duties, as assigned, include assisting other lines as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to stand, climb, stoop and bend on a continuous basis.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Self-motivated, mechanical aptitude.
- Time Management and project management skills

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Visual acuity and verbal communications skills required.
- Ability to utilize tools to make minor adjustments.
- Able to troubleshoot problems on equipment.
- Ability to interact with machine interfaces to trouble shoot and make minor adjustments.
- Has foresight and understanding of process to be proactive vs. reactive.
- Ability to perform basic math.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 years’ experience with production machines.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical training preferred.
