Marcal Paper is searching for an experience Maintenance Planner!
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the efficient planning and scheduling of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities in a pulp and paper manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all maintenance work is well-coordinated, materials are available, and downtime is minimized to support safe and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed job plans for maintenance work, including labor, materials, tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities with operations, engineering, and other departments.
- Maintain and update the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, equipment history, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and technicians to improve job planning accuracy and efficiency.
- Order and manage spare parts and materials required for scheduled work.
- Analyze equipment performance and failure data to support reliability improvements.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for outsourced maintenance services.
- Maintain a backlog of work orders prioritized by safety, operational impact, and asset criticality.
- Support turnaround and shutdown planning and execution.
- Ensure maintenance plans comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Industrial Maintenance or Engineering preferred.
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in pulp and paper.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Proficient in CMMS software (SAP, Maximo, or similar).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of maintenance planning best practices and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
Working Conditions:
- Combination of office and plant floor environment.
- May require climbing stairs, standing for extended periods, and working in hot or noisy conditions.
- Must follow all plant safety and PPE requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
