Your Role:
As a Material Movement Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our production process, utilizing cutting-edge technology to create products that make a difference.
Summary: Utilize forklift and clamp trucks to ensure all plant raw materials and finished goods are safely transported throughout the facility to permit optimal flow of plant operations.
Shifts: Nights 8-Hour Shift, Monday - Friday (4am- 12:30pm)
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Prior lift truck experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Ability to understand and effectively operate material movement equipment.
· Ability to work as a member of a team accepting direction from others.
· Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
· Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism.
· Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
· Ability to use computer and scanning equipment.
· Possess basic reading and math skills.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and operate forklift in safe manner, and complete pre-shift equipment inspections.
· Communication to supervisor of quality control issues, equipment operational deficiencies or safety concerns in appropriate, timely manner.
· Adhere to Company policy and procedure.
· Reliable and punctual attendance.
· Restack partial pallets of product to make full pallets for shipment.
· Receive incoming shipments by unloading, unpacking, and examining for accurate quantity and routing to proper area.
· Ensure shipment paperwork is accurate and note any discrepancies to supervisor.
· Ensure stock rotation of incoming/outgoing product and proper staging of product.
· Receive and process any defective items returned for replacement or credit.
· Replace or repair damaged goods received in a unit with first quality product before staging for shipment.
· Pull / prepare products for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and unit counts as required.
· Operate stretch wrap machine as needed.
· Ensure minimum product waste and maintain work area in neat and clean fashion.
· Accurately perform electronic transactions in the inventory management software as it pertains to receipts, transfers, and shipments.
· Required overtime hours on off days when necessary to ensure vacancies are covered and operations remain efficient.
· Maintain, sort, and keep organized the partial pallet area.
· Perform necessary inventory counts as directed.
· Other duties, as assigned, including assisting other warehouse teams as required.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and step up/down a platform and perform repetitive tasks
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
· Ability to sit down for up to 12 hrs. per day.
