Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to help oversee our kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate must be, not only comfortable with guest interaction, but embraces it. Applicants must have a strong background in food service management, with experience in supervising staff and managing kitchen activities. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a big plus. This role is essential in maintaining a productive and efficient kitchen environment while delivering exceptional service to our guests.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: This is a unique opportunity and position. We are seeking a multi talented kitchen lead. This person will work in collaboration with the other leads already established in our kitchen. Each lead will have their specific duties and be able to showcase their talents and expertise. Candidates for this position must have experience in PIZZA and DOUGH MAKING. They must also possess strong skills with SAUTÉ and have a creative mind. Applicants need to be excited to actively cook on the line and in the pizzeria while holding other kitchen staff accountable for their duties. Sanitation and cleanliness is huge. We are expanding our CATERING business. This candidate needs to be our "go-to" person when cooking for and organizing our catering events. Must have experience with writing and reading BEO's. Must know how to run and train the EXPO STATION.
Duties
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring adherence to food handling and safety standards.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including shift management, inventory control, and food preparation processes.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that meet dietary needs and cater to various events.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on best practices in cooking techniques, food presentation, and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in ordering supplies and managing inventory to maintain optimal stock levels for smooth operations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth among staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
