Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders by ensuring that the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in the food and beverage industry. Must be at least 18 years old
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately when required.
- Support the setup and breakdown of bar areas for special events or banquets.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons when appropriate.
Skills
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurants or nightclubs.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food handling practices.
- Proficiency with cash registers and POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient bar environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced bartenders.
