What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef Instructor position at Marché?
Marcel's is looking to add a chef instructor to our team and be a part of our successful cooking program. At Marcel's Culinary Experience, our kitchen is your kitchen. Assembled from a variety of different backgrounds, yet bound by a common thread, the professional chefs and chef educators are the foundation of the culinary program at Marcels, and we are looking to add to our chef team.
Our current Marcels culinary team ensures that every guest has a place to learn, watch, and meet new people and old friends a place to pull up a chair, gather around the table and discover fabulous food adventures. Candidates must possess:
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts or Certificate from an accredited culinary institute or Three years work-related experience
- Previous experience teaching culinary classes
- Current Food Managers Certificate
- Create and write recipes using a variety of cooking methods
- Work independently while contributing to team environment
- Combine both teaching and cooking skills efficiently and effectively to empower our students to feel confident to recreate dishes in their own kitchen.
This is a part time, contract labor position. Payment is a flat fee per class with additional incentives based on class size and format. An in-person cooking demonstration is a required part of the interview process.
