Marchesi Vineyards is seeking a professional and motivated Tasting Room Associate to provide exceptional hospitality and contribute to our continued growth. Inspired by the vineyards of Northern Italy, our winery is dedicated to providing an authentic wine experience for every guest. This position is part-time with the potential for full-time based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver an outstanding guest experience, guiding visitors through wine tastings with warmth and professionalism.
- Engage and educate guests, sharing our Italian winemaking philosophy and story.
- Support sales growth by confidently recommending wines and wine club memberships.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a seamless and efficient service flow.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide genuine, proactive hospitality.
- Support daily operations, including setup, breakdown, and maintaining a clean and organized tasting room.
- Prepare and present cheese and charcuterie plates with attention to quality and presentation.
- Assist with special events and wine club functions as needed.
- Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and increase engagement.
- Communicate effectively with owners and management to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying composed and professional under pressure.
- A team-first mindset, with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- A strong desire to learn about wine, sales, and hospitality—previous wine knowledge is a plus.
- A natural ability to connect with guests and create memorable experiences.
- Comfortable promoting and selling wine and wine club memberships.
- Must be available to work weekends and occasional holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be 21 with a valid OLCC permit and food handler’s card.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $17/hour tips (averaging $30 -$35 per hour)
