Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Skid Steer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery, including skid steers, loaders, and graders, in a construction site environment. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high safety standards while performing tasks such as digging, grading, and transporting materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Perform digging, grading, and material handling tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the operation of additional machinery such as bulldozers, dump trucks, water trucks, and graders as needed.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors regarding daily tasks and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the job site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating skid steers and other heavy machinery in a construction setting.
- Familiarity with bulldozer operation, loader operation, dump truck driving, water truck operation, grader operation, and horizontal drilling is preferred.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors effectively.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks associated with construction work, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
