The HR Generalist will play a critical role in the day-to-day people-related operations at Marco and Marco Canada and within the HR team. This role will coordinate many of the HR activities but also partner with the rest of the HR team to support the everyday needs of employees. Activities include managing the daily employee lifecycle processes and regularly interact with employees. You should be able to demonstrate a great degree of empathy, while also being resolution and results driven. You should be a friendly, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least two years of human resource management experience preferred, with a focus on company policies and recruiting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Administer benefit plans.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- Administer HRIS system.
- Process payroll for Marco Industries and Marco Industries Canada Inc. working with payroll HRIS systems.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
