Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently to minimize waste.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Participate in staff training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of menu items.
- Assist in the development of new pizza recipes and menu items based on seasonal ingredients or customer feedback.
- Provide excellent hospitality by engaging with guests when necessary and ensuring their satisfaction with their meals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook in the food industry, preferably with a focus on pizza preparation.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including inventory control and food safety regulations.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork within the kitchen.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes or enhancing existing ones.
- Experience in bartending or working at a bar is considered an asset but not required.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
