The Project Management Intern is responsible for assisting with planning, executing and finalizing projects with Marco’s clients.
Essential Functions
Education and Experience
Standard Marco Internship work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in a Marco office location.
Other: Schedule may revolve around class and exam schedule, within reason as needed.
TRAVEL
The 10-week Internship Program requires travel between our St. Cloud & Minnetonka offices as part of both on-site and off-site activities.
The Project Management Intern is responsible for assisting with planning, executing and finalizing projects with Marco’s clients.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the Print PMO to strategically plan and manage complex projects, ensuring successful delivery within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Support project coordination by managing schedules, tracking activities, verifying orders, and monitoring project progress and outcomes.
- Job shadow the PM to gain an understanding of the project management methodology used at Marco and how to apply learned techniques for budgeting, scheduling, and team management within a project.
- Assist in overseeing and coordinating tasks performed by third-party contractors or consultants.
- Partner with PM to bring the project to a close including but not limited to obtaining client acceptance at end of project and ensuring project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budget guidelines.
- Shadow the Project Manager to develop a strong understanding of the technology used, gaining the ability to assess requests from specialists and technical staff for feasibility.
- Follow structure for project documentation and validate that all client documentation requirements have been met at the close of the project.
- Partner with Sales Representatives to complete statements of work (SOWs).
- Attend customer and internal project meetings, document meeting minutes, track deliverables, and conduct onsite client visits.
- Assist in managing project plans and trackers within company systems to ensure accurate monitoring of timelines, tasks, and deliverables.
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate student enrolled or recent graduate in a marketing, communications, business, sales, related degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications.
- Superior internal and external customer service and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, dedicated to the challenge of helping other people.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed reports.
- Ability to identify errors and make proper corrections.
