We are seeking an extraordinary leader to drive success and growth as a Branch / CDC Manager. We are API of New Hampshire, a leading wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment, parts and supplies. We represent some of the premier manufacturers in the industry and serve multiple states in the New England market and beyond.
The Branch / CDC Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation the branch, as well as the overall day to day operations of the company’s distribution center. This role will ensure the optimum operation of the CDC in alignment with the business objectives of the organization, including successfully meeting branch goals and customer service standards. The Branch / CDC manager will plan, coordinate, and direct the CDC practices and activities, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the distribution center and wholesale branch.
We are currently seeking an Branch Manager to help manage our Manchester, NH branch located at 190 Zachary Rd Manchester, New Hampshire.
What will you be doing:
- Overseeing the efficient operation of the branch to ensure all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to customer and staff.
- This position is responsible for supervision of staff, customer service, receiving, inventory control, merchandising, sales, safety, on time will call, counter sales assistance, product delivery, and the general operation of the branch.
- Provides excellent customer service through timely customer interaction, problem resolution or escalation with effective and efficient follow-up.
- Address customers politely and professionally in a courteous manner, even in situations that may become difficult or tense.
- Promptly respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, text or fax with courtesy in a professional demeanor.
- Support valued business relationships in all dealings with related departments aiming to resolve customer and other issues in a timely manner.
- Either opening or closing each day as directed. Changes work schedule based on demands of the business as needed and directed.
- Lead teams, assist customers, direct the flow of work, and respond to all operational needs of the business.
- Provide for emergency openings as required.
- Provide for after-hours openings.
- Supervise counter sales and staff with direction, guidance, support, and follow-up.
- Perform accurate order entry.
- Provide timely and efficient order pulling, will calls, and deliveries.
- Adhere to safety procedures by example, addresses safety matters as needed with staff, and completes safety paperwork as needed when incidences occur.
- Support all areas of the operation for the branch which includes receiving, deliveries, merchandising, training, will calls, facilities management, safety, customer interactions, and all other operational areas.
- Maintain visual display of front shelving and aisles, including endcaps.
- Ensure aisles are being maintained by responsible staff, directing staff to work counters as needed.
- Ensure proper procedures are being followed in all aspects of Order Entry and counter sales.
Preferred Job Requirements
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent and some college coursework in a related field
- 5 or more years’ experience with logistics or wholesale distribution and related functions. HVAC/plumbing knowledge a plus.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent
- 3 or more years’ experience with logistics or wholesale distribution and related functions
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
