The Driver/Warehouse associate is responsible for the delivery of merchandise to and from customers, vendors, and other branches or locations, as directed, with the use of a company vehicle. This role processes, handles, ships, receives, transfers, stocks, picks, and pulls products for customers and vendors for all incoming or outgoing merchandise and freight. This role works in all departments within the warehouse related to product incoming and outgoing tasks. Additionally, this role is responsible for excellence in customer service, the proper use of company tools, vehicles, and equipment, as well as adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
We are currently seeking a Driver/Warehouse associate to support our Hobart, IN branch. This position is conveniently located at 1951 Northwind Pkwy, Hobart, IN 46342
- Check orders to be sure they’re correct and good to go.
- Load & unload product.
- Drive the company trucks.
- Make deliveries to or from customers, vendors, or other branch locations.
- Make new friends (our customers) and get their orders ready.
- Keep their ride and work areas clean (easier than home!)
- Learn to use cool new “toys:” a pallet jack, two and four-wheel cars and box cutters (did we mention safety?)
- Eat, sleep and drink safety.
- HVAC knowledge preferred, willing to train.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Candidates must meet experience requirements based on the specific type of license and truck they will be operating in order to meet insurance qualifications for this role.
- Honesty, integrity, and a strong desire to succeed are a must.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Ability to drive a 26ft box truck.
- Ability to obtain a minimum of 1 year of DOT medical certification as part of our pre-employment process.
- Chauffers' license or any CDL
