We are currently seeking a Residential Design Specialist associate to support our Waterville, ME branch.
The Residential Design Specialist is responsible for providing presale and after sale support, and promotes sales for residential HVAC, and hydronic products. This position provides design services for residential products which may include field jobsite visit to access needs and troubleshoot problems. This position serves as a primary contact for company sales force for product specifications, application, and product suitability.
What you'll be doing:
- Travels to job sites to provide design assistance, size products, and troubleshoot problem jobs.
- Provides technical assistance to customers and sales force for product specifications, application, and product suitability.
- Provides application, installation, and design assistance on residential HVAC, Hydronic, and Ductless products.
- Performs joint sales calls with Territory Manager when needed.
- Produces quotations for assigned products in a timely manner. This includes phone and e-mail requests from external and internal customers.
- Performs take-offs from blueprints for plan & spec jobs. Interprets specifications and crosses them to products that company sells.
- Provides submittal sheets, dimensional information, and technical information for equipment quoted.
- Provides design services for customers such as Heat Load Calculation and In Floor Radiant design using specified programs. Adequately reads a set of mechanical blueprints and interprets information such as building materials, insulation factors, and dimensions.
- Processes orders including changing status, procuring product, producing sign-off sheets, lining up deliveries, communicating with customers, branch delivery staff, and credit department.
- Communicates with sales staff and/or customers for status reports on various job quotes
- Communicate dealer issues with department manager. Identifies stocking issues with department manager.
Preferred Job Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience with HVAC design, sales support, technical support and blueprint reading or related functions.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or its GED equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience with design, sales support, technical support and blueprint reading or related functions.
- Ability to read a set of mechanical blueprints and interpret information such as building materials, insulation factors, and dimensions
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite Applications
