CBIZ is assisting a client, located in LA, searching for a Worker's Compensation Attorney - Defense.

Key Responsibilities :
- Represent employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims.
- Conduct thorough and accurate case evaluations, including initial case analysis, legal research, and assessment of potential exposure.
- Review, analyze, and interpret medical records and reports to develop comprehensive defense strategies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials, presenting well-prepared and effective arguments.
- Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks related to workers' compensation claims.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with medical experts, vocational specialists, and other professionals to support case strategy.
- Manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client communication and service.
- 10 years experience in defendant side.
Salary : 175-250K
