Our outstanding Carry Out employees set Marcum’s Nursery apart from other garden centers. A Carry Out is often the last Marcum’s Nursery employee to assist and thank our guests, so their level of service and attention to detail leaves a lasting impression. If you enjoy helping people, are committed to providing the highest level of service, and are ready to do some heavy lifting, we would love for you to join the Marcum’s Nursery team as a Carry Out.

The Carry Out’s responsibilities include performing tasks as directed by their manager which will include but are not limited to:

• Bagging, packaging, and loading merchandise to ensure safe transport.
• Ensuring bagged goods areas are well-stocked, organized, and tidy.
• Stocking shelves and plant material in sales areas.
• Assisting with the assembly and disassembly of displays.
• Unloading vendor trucks.
• Emptying trash bins.
• Maintaining a high level of energy with strong guest service skills.
• Standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.
• Working outside in all types of weather.
• Working with other team members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with nursery and gardening products is a plus.

Salary : $21,600 - $27,400
