We are currently seeking a knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing Shrub Sales Associate to join our team.
Job Description: As a Shrub Sales Associate, you will assist in maintaining a beautiful and healthy selection of shrubs for our customers. The Shrub Sales Clerk should be willing and excited to learn all aspects of properly caring for, merchandising, and assisting customers in choosing plants for their landscape. At times, you will need to be able to work under pressure without sacrificing the high level of customer service we strive to provide. This position requires predominately working outdoors and the ability to lift 25-40 lbs. consistently throughout each day.
Key Responsibilities: The Shrub Sales Clerks responsibilities include performing tasks as directed by the Shrub Manager which will include but are not limited to:
- Providing superb customer service and helpful information and advice.
- Learning to identify plants.
- Ensuring plants and other items for sale in the shrub house areas are properly priced and signed.
- Learning to identify plant problems such as diseases, weeds, and insect pests and immediately notifying the Shrub Manager of such problems.
- Assisting in the planting, watering, pruning, and maintenance of shrub house crops.
- Moving materials and loading/unloading shipments for placement in the shrub house.
- Adhering to safety regulations and policies and notifying the Shrub Manager of unsafe working environments and practices.
- Providing inventory counts for the inventory management process as requested.
- Performing other duties as necessary.
