The following Administrative position is available for the 24-25 school year.
Elementary Principal
Full-time, 12 month position available immediately. grades K-4. Requirements: Elementary or K-12 Principal certification, strong instructional leadership and communication skills, knowledge of assessment and best practices related to student achievement, scheduling, discipline, budget prep, and community relations. Minimum five (5) years successful teaching experience and two (2) years in administration or elementary level leadership experience strongly preferred.

SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Educational Program Improvement: Participates in academic instruction, assessment analysis, in-service and staff development appraisal, and manipulation in the curriculum toward specific educational program objectives and the needs of all students with emphasis on excellence in instruction.
- Personnel: Participates in selection, training and evaluation of certified and non-certified staff.
- Parent and Community Relations: Enlists community support for school activities, communicates with parents, and defines the interpretation of the school within the community.
- School Management: Participates in facility’s use and maintenance, safety, recording keeping, custodial/food service/transportation/maintenance/staff relations, equipment and supplies, budget control and leadership.
- Student Services: Works with counselors, psychologists, nurses, and transportation to insure quality programs for the students.
- Student Co-Curricular Management: Provides the leadership, direction and management to provide for successful co-curricular programs that complement the mission of the school.
- Supervision of Students: Supervises hallways, lunchroom, bus loading and unloading zones, school grounds, student co-curricular activities and student discipline to insure a safe and secure environment.
- District, State, and Federal Coordination: Completes or provides information for district, state and federal forms, attends respective meetings and facilitates respective communications.
- Professional Preparation: Participates in professional organizations, reads professional journals, attends professional workshops and maintains professional growth to meet state requirement.
- Accountability and the Planning Process: Assesses the school’s needs, strengths, and weaknesses, and identifies and submits the priorities for school improvement.
- Leadership of the Principal: Functions as an agent of change who sets high expectations for the school in alignment with the clear mission, goal, and objectives of the district.
- School-Wide Norms, Values, Practices and Policies: Establishes norms and values that are consistent, and that are accepted by students, parents and staff. Establishes school policies and practices, which affect student achievement and performance that are board based with support from all involved and with a focus on excellence.
- Relationship with the Superintendent: Provides constant and complete communication concerning everything at the school.
- Supervisory Requirements: Attendance at all school related activities, functions and meetings.
- District Policies, Procedures and Contract Management Abilities: Knowledge of, compliance with, and management of district policies, procedures, regulations and contracts.
- School Climate and Culture: Exercises leadership abilities necessary to maintain a school climate/culture that is concise relative to the functions and expectations that develop a pleasant, secure, and productive learning/working environment for students and staff.
- Communications Abilities: Communicates concise, accurate, and timely verbal and written information.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
260 days/8 hours per day

Performance shall be evaluated in accordance with the Board’s Policy on Appraisal.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in education or related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 (Five) years successful teaching experience and two (2) years in administration or elementary level leadership experience strongly preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Reading: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Writing: Ability to write reports, school correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Presentation: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, managers, employees, students, the general public, and the school board.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
