Job Summary
The JDE Analyst II will be involved in solution design, development, and support of applications for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with cross-functional business and IT team in designing and delivering solutions for business needs. This job requires the ability to think creatively and understand complex and interconnected processes and systems.
Job Responsibilities
Application Support and Troubleshooting
Collaborate with the business and IT team to design and document JD Edwards E1 solutions based on business requirements
Partner with IT Project Managers to verify solution(s) and drive process, software, and system enhancements
Build custom solutions (code, test, configure) based on business requirements and JD Edwards standards using development tools
Understand, define, and document system goals and technical system requirements
Address system irregularities and troubleshoot issues
Provide functional and technical design activities
Develop and support interfaces between EnterpriseOne and other applications
Work with functional users and user groups to gather, refine, and document system requirements to enhance JDE EnterpriseOne
Lead and contribute to solution discussions in a cross functional setting (business and IT)
Review system artifacts (code, design documents, test cases, configurations)
Develop reports and report delivery tools
Aid in developing company-wide standards and processes to support development and support operational and functional activities
Create and execute unit testing, integration testing, implementation, and post review application rollout
Estimating project efforts / resources for planning purposes
Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing
Provide application support and interface support for all JD Edwards applications
Own and lead application and system performance tuning activities
Incident Management
Manage and prioritize incident tickets, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on business operations
Coordinate with other IT teams and departments to ensure effective incident management and communication
Provide advanced technical support for complex application issues and escalate unresolved issues to proper teams
Analyze application logs and performance metrics to find and resolve issues promptly
Documentation and Reporting
Write technical specifications based on functional specifications
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application support processes, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge bases
Prepare and present reports on application performance, incidents, and support activities to management
User Support and Training
Provide expert guidance and support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving complex user issues
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to enhance user knowledge and application proficiency
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
3 years experience supporting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications
Experience
Demonstrated experience designing solutions for complex problems
Experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application upgrades / migrations
Strong business knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial, Job Cost, and Purchasing
Experience with business functions, master business functions and NER
Experience with Object Oriented Event Driven programming; C, C , Java, Java Script
Experience with JD Edwards BSSV
Experience with EnterpriseOne tool set (FDA, RDA, OMW, etc.)
Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne distributed architecture
Knowledge of ASU, ESU, and SP, and their impact to the development life cycle
Outstanding problem-solving and analysis, time management, and verbal / written communications
Experience with latest development tools like BI Publisher, groovy scripts, Watchlists, Orchestration, Café one, UX one, One View reporting, etc.
Preferred
Experience with Hubble / Insight reporting tool
Experience with HTML, servlets, and web application design
Skills
