Based in San Francisco, the Margaret O'Leary clothing company is renowned for its beautiful collections of cutting-edge knitwear and sportswear. We are currently looking for a dynamic, sales-driven, and experienced Store Manager for our boutique located at 49 Charles Street, Boston MA.

OBJECTIVE:

To create a unique, enjoyable, and personal shopping experience; embracing the Margaret O'Leary lifestyle and brand image. Responsible for the management of all aspects of the boutique experience, notably the development of a best-in-business team focused on achieving sales goals while ensuring the cultivation of a loyal brand following.

The Store Manager is the ‘local owner’ of the Margaret O'Leary brand direction and focus. Boutique Store Managers work a Tues-Sat schedule unless the needs of the business change. This can include holiday hours and/or staffing needs.

In this position you will lead the retail business including sales, training, visual merchandising, event planning, customer care and community outreach. As well as managing the boutique team as well as interfacing, on a daily basis, with other Store Managers around the country while reporting to the VP, Retail & Store Ops.

All applicants must be sales driven and offer outstanding customer service. Boutique management is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

People

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the boutique team in all aspects of the business by maintaining a knowledgeable leadership presence.
  • Manage and deliver a high level of customer service, operations, merchandising standards, and loss prevention
  • Train the team to use clientele resources to develop a loyal, repeat customer base.
  • Identify strengths and opportunities in team members and provide constructive, ongoing feedback to support team development.
  • Execute ongoing training to promote internal growth and development and ensure all employees are fully trained on their positions.
  • Recruit, hire, and maintain quality staff in accordance with store needs.

Presentation/Product

  • Plan and execute visual merchandising in keeping with company standards.
  • Train team on product knowledge and their ability to communicate the Margaret O'Leary aesthetic to clients.
  • Ensure daily restock and a clean store at all times.
  • Communicate product performance observations and offer feedback to the Regional Manager, Retail Operations Manager and others at Corporate.

Process

  • Ensure all sales goals are being met or exceeded by maintaining a high level of business awareness, driving sales, and communicating store goals.
  • Communicate daily goals while devising strategies for meeting goals
  • Plan and execute events and create and manage an effective store schedule staying within set payroll guidelines.
  • Educate the staff on all corporate communication and direction and manage all aspects of daily store operations.
  • Maintain an organized store that follows all inventory control processes and lead quarterly physical inventory.
  • Be an active participant in bi-weekly Manager conference calls
  • Uphold all company policy and procedure.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
