CAREGIVER

Shift: Day (7 AM - 3 PM)
(every other weekend and a shared holiday schedule)

Pay: $21 - $24 per hour
(pay based on experience and qualification)

As a Caregiver, you will be a key part of our residents’ daily lives, helping with personal care, companionship, and overall well-being. You will assist with activities of daily living, support residents with mobility, and create meaningful connections that make each day fulfilling. Working closely with the nursing team, you will ensure residents receive the care and respect they deserve in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Daily Care & Support
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Help residents with mobility, including walking, transferring, and repositioning per care plans.
- Provide catheter care and assist with other healthcare needs as directed.
- Health Monitoring & Documentation
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in residents’ appearance, behavior, or health status.
- Record all care provided and any incidents in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, care managers, and other team members to ensure residents receive the best care.
- Resident Engagement & Well-Being
- Assist with social and recreational activities, encouraging resident participation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Household & Meal Assistance
- Assist with meal services, including setting up tables, serving meals, and cleaning up the dining room.
- Provide light housekeeping and laundry assistance to ensure a comfortable living space for residents.
- Emergency & Safety Response
- Be the first line of response to emergency call alarms.
- Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
- VT LNA license preferred but NOT REQUIRED
- Dementia Care preferred.
- A team player with a positive, fun attitude (our staff have one too!)
