Job Summary: At Margaritas, we are seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional Server to join our team. As a Server at Margaritas, you will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. You will need to have a polished appearance, be detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
- Ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner and assist in the seating arrangement to optimize restaurant space.
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage.
- Exhibit a thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menu items and their preparation methods, ingredients, and allergens.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
- Serve food and drinks to guests, and check on guest satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints politely and promptly.
- Manage multiple tables and tasks in an efficient manner.
- Prepare final bill, present it to guests, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a server, waiter, or waitress.
- Excellent presentation skills, always demonstrating a professional image.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Active listening and effective communication skills.
- Team spirit and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- High school diploma: food safety training will be considered a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, twist, and stoop to retrieve items from floor, shelves, and overhead.
