JOB TYPE: Full Time
PAY: $13.75 per hour
AGE REQUIREMENT: Must be at least 18 years of age
Essential Job Functions
This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications. The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future. The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.
- Escort incoming guests to rooms
- Assist guests with luggage
- Inspect guest room to ensure that is in order, and that supplies are adequate
- Explain features of room such as operation of radio, television, in-room movie system, etc.
- Offer information pertaining to available hotel services, points of interest and entertainment attractions
- Deliver messages and run errands
- Transport guests about property in van or golf cart
- Deliver packages, suitcases and trunks
- Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints or questions in a courteous and timely manner
- Additional tasks may be required
- Attend required meetings
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of the English language and able to effectively communicate with guests, associates and vendors
- Must have knowledge of mathematical and computer skills
- High school education and relevant training/experience preferred
- Ability to obtain any required licenses or certificates in timely manner
- Additional language ability preferred
- Ability to accurately report information
- Ability to scrupulously follow of Driftwood and Margaritaville Lake Resort policies and procedures
- Possess aggressive hospitality skills
- Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally and with care.
- Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change
- Consistently maintains positive demeanor
- Conducts themselves professionally at all times; sets standards for all associates
