Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Graduated from an approved EMT Paramedic program.
Required Skills
It requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 90 days of hire is required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within 90 days of hire is preferred.
NC certified EMT-P.
Good communication skills, computer skills and ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality
patient care.
Minimum Work Experience
A minimum of two years pre-hospital paramedic experience is preferred
