Responsibilities:
- Lead a 2-3-man crew to produce 5-star quality landscape for our clients.
- Keep the team safe at all times. 30-Hour Osha qualified preferred.
- Proper horticulture planting techniques. Proper horticulture plant requirement understanding.
- Ensure all equipment used is taken care of and fueled. Need to know basic mechanics for field fixes.
- Participates in in-house training and have crew participate in safety/other training programs
- Keep Yard, Vehicles and Properties Clean.
- Operate excavator and other equipment as needed to complete the project.
The Successful candidate(s) will have a minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience and the following skills:
- Must have 5 - 7 years experience working an excavator
- Must have sitework related knowledge. (Drainage, Utilities, & Sitework Processing)
- Ability to manage multiple crew members and projects, daily work schedules and required daily paperwork for multiple jobsites.
- Ability to read and interpret Landscape Plans and Specifications.
- Coordinate with Construction Managers and other Departments within the Company.
- Must be capable of effective communication with our clients, design professionals and skilled craftsmen.
- Thorough knowledge of plant materials, proper horticultural installation and construction practices.
- Be able to operate tools and construction equipment.
- Must be a hardworking, self-motivated, team oriented individual that is able to perform independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently is a plus.
- Must have valid driver's license.
