Education & Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to stand up to four hours at a time and have the ability to work at a very fast pace with frequent twisting and turning. Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to lift 60 pounds occasionally. Food service experience and meat slicing experience preferred. Serve Safe Certification preferred. Must be able to use and read a digital scale, accurately perform basic math calculations and accurately count large quantities of food products and supplies. Must complete OSHA and food safety training.
In this part-time position you will work as part of a team in a fast-paced, fun and friendly environment. This position will perform a variety of tasks in a food production facility including but not limited to: raw material preparation, dressing production, pizza and hoagie production, slicing, weighing, mixing and packaging; operating and tooling changeover of various processing machines. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday morning with a starting time as early as 4 AM. Skilled food service candidates with experience in the back-of-house restaurant industry or deli departments are encouraged to apply. Starting wage for this position is $15.50 per hour.
Essential Functions:

Produce all products to company specifications and quality standards.

Safely operate (including tooling change-overs) floor slicer, hand slicer, dressing packaging machine, chopper/shredder, dressing mixer, and dish machine.

Open and stage various meat and cheese products for further processing and packaging.

Slice, stack, and stage various meats and cheeses for hoagie production.

Rotate through various positions at the processing and packaging machines on any given day.

Obtain products from shelves and coolers to prepare condiments and dressing for production.
- Assist in weighing, processing, and packaging of products for DelGrosso Park when needed.

Assemble and wrap hoagies and pizzas following standardized guidelines.

Stock tables during production when needed.

Cut and stack various vegetables onto sheet pans.

Prepare boxes and hoagie wrappers for next day production.

Monitor inventory during production and report any shortages or low inventory levels to Supervisor.

Restock all processing aids and disposables (gloves, hand towels, dry pads, film wrap, etc.) after production in all pre-production areas.

Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment throughout production.

Perform essential cleaning and sanitizing of machine, equipment, utensils, tables, sinks, walls, floors, and drains per sanitation program.
- Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor and collect empty ware from production room.
- Track and record all essential documentation as required by department.

Complete all job duties and assignments in an effective and timely manner.

Adhere to all personal safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements and policies.

Follow all food safety guidelines as outlined in the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.

Maintain and protect all company recipe and trade secrets.

Report any machine issues to supervisor and maintenance staff immediately.

Report any quality concerns to Team Leader or supervisor immediately.
