Marianne’s Ice Cream is a Santa Cruz landmark, serving the community since 1947. We serve delicious, handmade, super-premium ice cream at our retail scoop shops, wholesale locations, restaurants, and at catering events across the Santa Cruz and larger Bay area.

Drivers are responsible for assembling customer orders in a freezer environment, loading orders onto delivery trucks, and delivering orders to customers.

This job requires physically active workdays.

Customer service experience in a driver or delivery position and proven experience with tasks requiring attention to detail are required.

This Seasonal Delivery Driver and Forklift Operator will support our existing team during our peak season, from May through September. Working Wednesday through Sunday, from 6am to 2pm and must be available for overtime in peak weeks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering goods to designated locations in a timely manner
• Communicating effectively with customers and providing excellent customer service
• Following all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Following routing plans for delivery route
• Loading customer orders from the freezer to delivery truck
• Processing paperwork (customer invoices, return/rejection paperwork, customer orders, etc.)
• Maintaining cleanliness of delivery vehicles
• Assembling customer orders, for loading onto delivery trucks
• Retrieving customer orders from voicemail and email and logging them into our system for processing
• Working in the freezer for extended periods – assembling customer orders, palletizing ice cream for the freezer team to handle

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Be able to lift/push/pull up to 70 pounds
• Data entry experience
• Medium comfort level with basic computer work (email and spreadsheets)
• Comfortable occasionally working in a freezer environment for extended periods
• Be able to bend/squat and lift 25 pounds from the ground
• Safe driving record
• Able to work overtime in our peak season (summer)
• Loves ice cream

Experience:

• Must have basic email and spreadsheet experience
• Forklift experience

Pay: $23.00 per hour
