Overview
As a Warehouse Associate team member at Marich Confectionery, you will be an integral part of our premium chocolate production and distribution process. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient and accurate receipt of raw materials and finished goods, Inventory counts and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Warehouse Associate plays a key role in maintaining the high standards of quality and excellence associated with Marich Confectionery’s premium chocolate. The warehouse associate will report to the Assistant Warehouse manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving and Inspection:
· Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods.
· Execute inspections to ensure the quality and quantity of items received meets established standards.
Inventory Management:
· Update and maintain accurate records of incoming inventory in the ERP system (INFOR).
· Assist in organizing and managing the physical layout of the warehouse for optimal storage and retrieval.
· Ensure accurate information is always recorded for any moving materials.
· Complete weekly cycle counts with accurate and true data.
Quality Control:
· Collaborate with quality control team to perform checks on incoming materials. (Temperature checks, samples, etc.)
· Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the Warehouse Management.
Documentation:
· Generate and maintain accurate documentation for received shipments, including packing lists and quality inspection reports.
· Provide necessary information to other departments to facilitate efficient production planning.
Shipping:
· Complete any pick lists or picking tasks assigned.
· Complete and pack all small pack orders.
· Maintain the warehouse organization with a clean work area and visible labeling on all pallets.
Communication:
· Communicate effectively and respectfully with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to address any receiving or inventory-related issues.
· Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of received materials into the production process.
Equipment Operation:
· Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallets jacks.
· Always ensure compliance with Marich’s company policies and procedures.
Safety and Compliance:
· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Team collaboration:
· Work closely with other members of the warehouse team to achieve overall warehouse objectives.
· Assist in cross-functional tasks such as order picking and packing during peak periods.
· Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallets jacks.
· Always ensure compliance with Marich’s company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be able to read, write and comprehend directions in English as directed.
- Basic math skills (division, multiplication, addition, and subtraction).
- Shipping, receiving, inventory or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Individuals must be detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility.
- Ability and understanding to calculate, convert, weigh, and measure materials and/or finished goods.
- Ability to work effectively in both team environments and independently.
- Must take ownership and commitment to the safety and compliance of food, health, and human safety.
- Demonstrates ability to identify all products or ingredients while following all company processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements
· Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift 25 pounds to 50 pounds.
· Standing, Walking and Climbing: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and be able to climb staircases as needed to visit/inspect areas of the plant.
· Repetitive Movements: Some tasks involve repetitive motions. Must be able to perform these repetitive movements without experiencing strain or discomfort.
· Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity is required (i.e. typing).
· Balance and Coordination: Jobs may require working on elevated platforms, ladders, or scaffolding may necessitate good balance and coordination skills to prevent accidents.
· Vision and Hearing: Good vision and hearing are essential for identifying defects, reading instructions, and maintaining situational awareness in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
· Temperature Control: Our facility maintains strict temperature controls to ensure food safety and product quality. While much of your work will occur in a temperature-controlled environment, you may occasionally be exposed to work or visit cold or hot rooms.
· Noise Level: This position involves working in an office setting within our Plant. It can be loud due to the operation of industrial machinery and the movement of forklifts. Hearing protection is required while in production areas of the plant and will be provided to ensure your comfort and safety.
· Industrial Machinery: You will work alongside a variety of industrial machines designed for food processing and packaging. Proper training and safety measures will be in place to ensure your safety while operating or working near these machines.
· Allergen/Chemical Exposure: You may work or be exposed to food products that contain allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, milk, eggs, etc. Cross-contact and exposure to allergens can occur during various stages of production. Additionally, in the course of your duties, you may handle or come into contact with cleaning agents, sanitizers, food additives, and other chemicals used in our manufacturing processes. Proper training and safety protocols will be provided to minimize risks.

We follow strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) to ensure proper food safety, quality and commitment to the health and safety of our teams and customers. This means you will be expected to comply with proper PPE usage and behaviors compliant to our Food Safety and Quality standards. All plant employees are required to wear slip-resistant/non-slip shoes and provided uniforms while in the plant.
Pay Range
The target salary range for this position is $17.00-18.00/hourly. The actual rate offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience.
