Job Overview
The Warehouse Lead coordinates and oversees the daily operations of the warehouse teams, managing processes and systems to ensure product flow and storage of incoming products and materials and the shipment of finished goods meets productivity targets and customer requirements. This includes managing the daily operations of receiving, physical inventory storage, material transactions, picking, packaging, shipping, special delivery, and inventory accuracy. The warehouse lead is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality control and accuracy of warehouse functions. Coordinating with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment. The Warehouse ead will report to the Assistant Warehouse Manager.
Duties
- · Lead the day-to-day execution of department priorities based on upcoming deadlines.
· Manage and coordinate the daily operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, materials management, order fulfillment and returns processing.
· Assists Shipping staff to meet large and small package shipping requirements.
· Coordinates with production to maintain inventory levels, including special products.
· Delegates instructions and tasks to Material Handlers and Inventory departments.
· Monitors all upcoming orders and assists in managing shipping deadlines.
· Assists with scheduling pick-ups, creating bills of lading, tracking shipments, comparing freight rates, scheduling all inbound freight carriers, and ensures that all necessary transactions are entered into our ERP system to maintain accurate inventory levels.
· Verifies freight shipments, such as case count, and corrects any errors.
· Coordinates with Customer Service to complete all necessary documentation for all international shipments.
· Coordinates with Production, Packaging, and Customer Service to ensure timely shipment and meet customer requirements.
· Watches for any irregularities in workflow and prioritizes tasks for optimal workflow.
· Data entry into INFOR system.
· Perform training to departments and keep all auditing up to date.
· Collaboration with teams in team setting for efficient task completion.
· Communication with team members and leadership effectively.

· Provides oversight, direction, and accountability to all Inventory Control and Warehouse processes and ensures team adherence to company policy and procedures.
· Manage systems and processes to ensure we are meeting targets for cycle count/inventory accuracy, order volume, order backlog, open orders, on-time delivery, and other metrics as needed
· Manage and direct teams: training/cross training, balance workload, scheduling, and overall performance.
· Provide input on key performance metrics and initiatives and ensure the department is successfully achieving and monitoring the targets
· Manages physical inventories and the cycle inventory process, stock rotation, external storage, and product transfer
· Ensures proper receiving in system, storage, and control of warehouse inventory
· Maintains accurate physical or cycle inventory record.
Experience
· 2 years of Warehouse experience or related experience required
· Inventory control experience.
· Cycle counting, stock replenishment and FIFO knowledge.
· Order fulfillment experience.
· Strong time management skills
· Must be able to adapt to high stress or fast paced environments
· Excellent written and communication skills especially in documentation of decisions and action assignments.
· Proficient in applicable computer skills (ERP Business Systems, MS Office suite, MS Outlook)
· Result driven, creative and open mind in delivering strategic solutions.
· Organized, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership is a must.
· Must be able to follow sequence in logical manner and communicate customer requirements to internal personnel in various departments.
· Ability to identify process deficiencies using root cause analysis and develop appropriate solutions
· Ability to organize, plan, and schedule tasks to streamline operations
· Ability to learn a new business system (Infor) and become a subject matter expert for warehouse related operations
· Ability to set priorities and balance the needs of competing demands on the team’s time

Physical Requirements
· Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift 25 pounds to 50 pounds.
· Standing, Walking and Climbing: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and be able to climb staircases as needed to visit/inspect areas of the plant.
· Repetitive Movements: Some tasks involve repetitive motions. Must be able to perform these repetitive movements without experiencing strain or discomfort.
· Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity is required (i.e. typing).
· Balance and Coordination: Jobs may require working on elevated platforms, ladders, or scaffolding may necessitate good balance and coordination skills to prevent accidents.
· Vision and Hearing: Good vision and hearing are essential for identifying defects, reading instructions, and maintaining situational awareness in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
· On Site: This position requires you to be onsite at the facility at a minimum of five days a week, Monday through Friday.
· Temperature Control: Our facility maintains strict temperature controls to ensure food safety and product quality. While much of your work will occur in a temperature-controlled environment, you may occasionally be exposed to work or visit cold or hot rooms.
· Noise Level: This position involves working in an office setting within our Plant. It can be loud due to the operation of industrial machinery and the movement of forklifts. Hearing protection is required while in production areas of the plant and will be provided to ensure your comfort and safety.
· Industrial Machinery: You will work alongside a variety of industrial machines designed for food processing and packaging. Proper training and safety measures will be in place to ensure your safety while operating or working near these machines.
· Allergen/Chemical Exposure: You may work or be exposed to food products that contain allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, milk, eggs, etc. Cross-contact and exposure to allergens can occur during various stages of production. Additionally, in the course of your duties, you may handle or come into contact with cleaning agents, sanitizers, food additives, and other chemicals used in our manufacturing processes. Proper training and safety protocols will be provided to minimize risks.
