Job Overview:
We are seeking a JAFM 300/400 Certified Consultant with advanced knowledge and experience in managing and deploying Jamf solutions for Apple device management. As a Jamf 300/400 Certified Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in Jamf Pro, device management, and security protocols to provide high-level consulting services, ensuring the optimal configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Apple devices across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of complex environments, advanced troubleshooting, and the ability to work with enterprise-level systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Jamf Pro Deployment & Configuration:
- Lead and oversee the deployment and advanced configuration of Jamf Pro for managing macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS devices across the enterprise.
- Implement complex device management workflows, including advanced configurations, automation, and custom policies to streamline operations.
- Design and implement advanced security policies and compliance frameworks for Apple devices, ensuring they meet industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Advanced Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex issues related to Apple devices and Jamf Pro configurations.
- Lead the resolution of escalated issues from internal teams, offering guidance and support for more challenging technical problems.
- Collaborate with the internal IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration of Jamf Pro with other systems and services.
- Consulting & Strategy Development:
- Act as the primary point of contact for Jamf Pro implementations and upgrades, providing expert consulting and guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Work closely with management to develop strategic roadmaps for Apple device deployment, management, and lifecycle planning.
- Conduct assessments of existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement or optimization.
- Security & Compliance Management:
- Design and implement security measures such as encryption, device restrictions, app management, and secure deployment strategies to protect organizational data.
- Ensure that all Apple devices meet industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2) and internal security standards.
- Provide ongoing security monitoring and risk assessment related to Apple devices and their management.
- Training and Mentorship:
- Provide mentorship and training to junior IT staff and clients on Jamf Pro features, best practices, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct training sessions on advanced Jamf Pro functionality and device management principles.
- Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for internal staff and end users.
- Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Jamf updates, Apple device management trends, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, ensuring that best practices and lessons learned are communicated across the organization.
- Recommend improvements to existing device management processes and tools to drive efficiencies and enhance user experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience working with Jamf Pro in an enterprise environment.
- Extensive experience with advanced configuration and customization of Jamf Pro for managing macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS devices.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex device management issues in large-scale environments.
- Certifications:
- Jamf 300 (Jamf Pro Advanced Administration) and Jamf 400 (Jamf Pro Master Administrator) certifications are required.
- Additional certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) are a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Apple device management and security protocols, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, MDM solutions, and device restrictions.
- Strong proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating tasks within Jamf Pro.
- Familiarity with systems integration, including network configurations, VPN, and enterprise-level systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
