Job Summary

Assist Staff with developing and managing data, system, and network security. Develops, enforces and audits security policies and procedures such as access, breach escalation, use of firewalls, and encryption routines. Evaluates and recommends security products, services, and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Essential Functions

30% - Performs security quality assurance activities for datacenter and networking equipment
20% - Supports servers, systems and applications; installs, configures, analyzes, debugs, maintains and troubleshoots software and/or hardware
20% - Performs basic analyses for system or network issues
20% - Researches industry standards, trends, best practices and emerging technologies
10% - Participates in security-targeted testing of software applications. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

A. Principles and techniques of installing, configuring, analyzing, debugging, maintaining and troubleshooting software and/or hardware
B. Knowledge of best practices, trends, and emerging technologies
C. Knowledge of principles and applications of critical thinking and analysis
D. Knowledge of principles and techniques of systems programming, applications system design and programming

Special Working Conditions

Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment. Work may involve crouching under desk workstations to install computer hardware and carrying, moving, or positioning various computer components, such as a laptop or PC, computer monitors, or other related equipment.
