Affordable And Comprehensive Benefits Package
This is a short-term, benefits-eligible, full-time one-year-only teaching opportunity for academic year 25/26 beginning August 2025. Instruct Computer Science courses with an emphasis on the programming, critical thinking, and problem solving skills needed to succeed in college level courses. Employ interactive and innovative instructional techniques to reach students with different learning styles. Instruct students from different cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, academic, and disability backgrounds. Interact with students outside of class in areas such as: student support hours, tutoring, mentoring, honors projects, undergraduate research, and campus life. Engage in department, campus, and district wide service and in professional development.
Essential Functions
The Academic Teaching Fields require the following from an accredited college or university:
A Master’s degree or higher in the teaching field or
A Master’s degree or higher with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field.
Desired Qualifications
Applicants are required to submit unofficial transcripts, resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a cover letter showing how the applicant meets the minimum and desired qualifications. All minimum requirements must be met at the time of the application. If your master’s degree is not in the teaching field, then please list the 18 graduate semester hours completed in the teaching field in your application materials.
MCCCD accepts unofficial transcripts for U.S. schools at the time of application. Unofficial transcripts are submitted as an attachment to the application. Transcripts from non U.S. institutions must be translated and evaluated and provided with application material.

Essential Functions
- Instructs students in classroom and lab settings.
- Develops written syllabi/course outlines and course materials; assesses student knowledge of subject matter and prepares and grades exams; maintains academic support hours to assist and advise students.
- Engages in the academic life of the college by participating in district-wide and campus committees and activities.
- Develops and enhances knowledge of subject matter taught and individual training skills required to remain current with new trends and developments in the field and to promote the scholarship of teaching and learning through attendance at conferences, courses, seminars, and/or workshops.

- Experience with professional development directed towards the Computer Science student
