We will look to you to motivate and lead staff to deliver excellent customer service and the highest level of humane care for the animals in our facilities. You'll be responsible for organizing, planning, assisting, and coordinating your team to provide optimal animal care. This position requires the employee in office and or customer facing for all hours worked.

We Require
Three years of experience working with animals in a veterinary hospital, humane society, or another animal facility (may include volunteer work)One year experience in a supervisor roleHigh school diploma or GEDA combination of post-secondary education and / or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basisWe Also Value

Conduct supervisory duties, including recruiting, scheduling, performance management, feedback, and managing complaintsProvide coaching to employees to correct performance deficiencies and implement corrective action and performance improvement proceduresTrain, monitor, and deliver care activities to ensure the highest level of care for animals in the facility, including cleaning, pet monitoring, feeding, etc.Deliver the highest level of customer service to customers, volunteers, and key stakeholders, ensuring their team delivers to the same standardBuild relationships and gain the trust of other animal welfare organizations and members of the publicConduct routine audits to ensure proper safety protocols, disease management, proper sanitation, and service delivery are being delivered to remain in compliance with ACC standard operation procedures and ensure legal complianceMaintain detailed and accurate records providing reports as necessaryWork with the ACC Leadership team to review and update policies and proceduresWorking Conditions
Must be flexible and able to work all shifts which include starting as early as 5 am and finishing as late as 7 pm, working weekends, and holidays, determined by the needs of the DepartmentWork is predominately performed in an animal shelter with exposure to extreme and varying temperatures, excessive noise, dogs and cats with unknown temperaments or behaviors, animal waste and fluids, deceased animals, cleaning chemicals, and zoonotic diseasesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on all types of surfaces that are sometimes slippery, uneven, and rough.Must be able to lift up to 50-100 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10-20 lbs. constantlySelection Procedure
