About the Position

The Cyber Assurance Supervisor will serve as the subject matter expert in cyber risk management by supervising a creative and diverse team of cyber security analysts that are focused on identifying, reporting, and monitoring cyber risk in the people, processes, and technologies used to support the myriad services provided by 50 departments within Maricopa County, the 4th largest County in the United States.The Cyber Assurance Supervisor will lead a team that works with all facets of the County, including Risk Management, Internal & External Auditors, IT staff, and Department leadership, as well as providing hands-on Analyst expertise as needed.

We Require

Two years supervising or leading remote or hybrid teams of risk management analysts, auditors, security analysts or other similar disciplines.

Three or more years of experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, information security audits, privacy impact assessments, or other areas supporting cyber risk management

Bachelor's degree in a CyberSecurity field or other STEM field requiring a high level of skill in conceptual thinking, oral and written communication, problem-solving, and time and task management.

An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and / or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

Must possess any one or more of the following certifications : Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)Certified Cyber Insurance Specialist (CCIS)Certified Risk & Information Systems Controls (CRISC)Certified Governance, Risk & Compliance (CGRC)Certified NIST CyberSecurity Framework Practitioner (CNCFP)

Must be able to pass a Federal background check

We Also Value

Experience in assessing risks associated with systems that support regulated data (PCI, PHI, CJI, FERPA, etc.)

Knowledge of the CyberSecurity Capability Maturity Model

Ability to write cybersecurity policies and technical standards

Job Contributions

Directly supervise the Cyber Assurance analyst team through the employee life cycle, including assigning job duties and performance management

Leads the implementation and maturity of cyber risk reduction initiatives including DLP, GRC, SAT & VMP

Conducts department and system-level cyber risk assessments

Participates in technology and business discussions as a subject matter expert in cyber risk

Working Conditions

This position functions in an office or administrative environment. The position can accommodate a mix of remote and in-office work depending on business needs. You may be required to exert up to 10 pounds occasionally, and some lifting of items weighing less than 10 pounds frequently. The position is mainly sedentary.
