This position follows a set schedule with 8-hour work days, Monday through Friday.

We Require

• One year of experience as a medical assistant

• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion from an accredited healthcare training program

• High school diploma or GED

We also Value

• Clinal rotation or internship experience in a laboratory setting

Job Contributions

• Performs duties within the medical assistant scope of practice, under the direct supervision of a physician, mid-level provider, or Nurse Manager to ensure quality patient care

• Completes required documentation in the electronic health record or other modality

• Verifies dental, behavioral, and medical health information with outside healthcare organizations

• Performs basic intravenous and phlebotomy skills as required

• Conducts office duties, including copying, filing, scanning, scheduling, and document preparation

• Responds to and directs clinical calls effectively and professionally in-person, telephonically, and online

• Maintains confidentiality of all information in all communication and interactions

Working Conditions

• Most work is performed in a clinical environment, indoors in a confined area and includes transporting medical equipment, climbing stairs, and lifting patients on a gurney that may weigh up to 35 pounds

• Travel or floating to various clinical locations and working extended hours and overtime may be required

• Must maintain CPR certification and get on the floor to perform CPR/chest compressions
