Job Description
MWD is currently seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join their team. The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for carrying out tasks and activities consistent with instrumentation and electrician work. The technician will independently diagnose equipment control problems and implement preventive and corrective repairs with only general direction in a safe, efficient and compliant manner. The technician will troubleshoot PLCs, monitors, SCADA, and electrical components and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs repairs, preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment;
- Perform work on medium voltage equipment, pumps, motors, SCADA systems, Recorders, mechanical / electrical / hydraulic / electronic valves and operators, electronic monitoring and output devices, ultrasonic level reading devices, air compressors, blowers, radio equipment, plumbing;
- Troubleshoots electrical and control circuits;
- Makes equipment adjustments and reports any serious problems;
- Assists with operational tasks in other areas as needed;
- Identify and report health and / or safety hazards;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
