Job Description
Responsibilities: Coach Offensive Line in concert with the expectations of the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator, academically monitor that position group, plan practice, scout, analyze video, instruct individual skills and team concepts, all phases of recruiting with specific goals for each phase. Teach a 1-credit skill class in each semester and perform athletic department duties as assigned by the athletic director. Such duties may include: game day management, facility supervision, intramural supervision, sports information assistance or other.
Expectations: Uphold the high professional standard of conduct expected of each person on campus and outlined in our Employee Handbook. Build positive interpersonal relationships in and out of the athletic department by attending staff meetings, faculty meetings and College functions, both social and professional, and by serving on committees. Assist our student athletes with accessing academic resources and monitor study table sessions in-season and out of season. Foster a cooperative work environment and provide mutual support with all constituencies and colleagues. Represent the program and Marietta College with sportsmanship, integrity, and a high degree of professionalism. Job requires work on weekends and evenings, in all types of outdoor weather conditions and requires lifting or moving items of 50 pounds or more.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree and previous college coaching experience preferred
Exceptional understanding of offensive football and offensive line coaching experience required
Knowledge of NCAA, OAC and Marietta College rules and guidelines
Strength and Conditioning Certification strongly preferred
Ability to work with athletic department video editing system
Ability to work with recruiting database system
Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of every Defensive position
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse environment
Must be able to travel, and possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable by Marietta's insurance provider
Must possess a strong commitment to diversity and inclusiveness
Must successfully complete a background check
