Marigold Catering, one of Cleveland's premier caterers, is seeking part- time/ seasonal Event Servers to join our Team! As a premier, boutique caterer we pride ourselves on being named Cleveland's top catering company by Northern Ohio Live and CBC Magazine. We service clients from the company's 12,000 sq. ft. facility in downtown Cleveland, where our highly talented team strive to deliver a truly unique and memorable experience from start to finish. Marigold is a preferred caterer at some of Cleveland's most popular venues, such as the renowned The Glidden House. In addition, Marigold is the exclusive caterer at The Cleveland Botanical Garden in the esteemed University Circle and Marigold's very own Tenk West Bank has become a popular space in Cleveland which hosts weddings and other extravagant events.POSITION SUMMARY:The Event Server is responsible for providing guests with efficient and attentive service interacting with all guests creating a friendly and positive image. Along with team members, will provide superior patron experience in accordance to the Marigold culture.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * (including but not limited to):*Treat guests with a sense of caring and individuality while effectively identifying their specific needsSeek ways to maintain positive guests relations to assure comfort at all timesSustain a safe, clean and organized work areas at all timesProvide prompt and attentive service during event shiftsSet venue room per client's specific needs with various tables and chairsPlace assorted linen, tableware and display pieces throughout event spaceServe guests' meals and beverages in a timely manner with elegance and meaningUse proper in-room clearing and service etiquetteEnsure menu knowledgeSupport fellow team members and other departments wherever necessaryAssist with side work including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, restocking, etc.Communicate with support crew and managementOther responsibilities as assignedSPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED :Communication and ability to follow directions givenProblem-solving solutionsAble to work well with a teamPassion for eventsFriendly and energeticResponsibleDetailed orientedQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be 19 years or older as required by law1 year food or hospitality experienceKnowledge of alcohol, wine and beerAbility to work nights and weekendsAbility to speak, read, hear and communicate in English clearlyAbility to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances and carry and lift up to 30 poundsMust have reliable transportationPossess a professional appearance and demeanorAbility to comprehend simple instructionsHours of Operation/Work Schedule:This is a part-time/seasonal positionMonday through Friday: 9:00a-3:00p (may vary)Saturday: 12p-12a (may vary, flexible schedule offered)Benefits:Flexible SchedulingReferral Bonus Program#Cleveland #Ohio
